NEW - 1928 UK Motoring Insurance policy - White Cross

Interesting and unusual motor insurance policy pack, issued by White Cross for ‘an 8.9 H.P. Standard’ private car in 1929. Registration number was UC 6108 and it was issued to a Mr W H Thomas, 81 Pulleyns Avenue, East Ham. The policy is housed in an embossed aluminium thin container with the name of the insurance company on it. The pack includes a ‘Repairs Permit’ allowing the insured to have his car repaired in case of accident. There are two of these, one for 1928 the other for 1929. There are also two 32-page lists of authorised repairers, plus a leaflet entitled ‘Instructions concerning accidents,. The size of the outer container is 9” x 4” and it could do with a bit of a clean. Otherwise in good condition.
